Worldwide prayer times: choose the right settings

Find an unambiguous location

Enter a city name and select the matching country and region. Alternatively, click “Use my location” and allow browser permission. Timings use the selected location’s timezone; a date you explicitly choose is preserved.

Method and Asr school are different settings

The method controls twilight angles and other provider conventions. The school selector controls Asr: Shafi‘i, Maliki and Hanbali use the standard calculation, while Hanafi uses the later calculation. The method table explains the provider parameters.

Regional scope and high latitudes

London Unified opens the published London timetable and is not an embedded feed. Basque federation settings require verified local parameters. The UAE Gulf preset is a calculated approximation, not an official Awqaf timetable. Northern locations may need a high-latitude adjustment; check local mosque practice.

Example in practice

For a visitor searching Paris, France, select the correct city rather than another place named Paris. Check the returned timezone and chosen date, then compare method and Asr settings with the local timetable. This example explains the workflow; it does not provide a prayer schedule.

Common questions

Are these mosque congregation times?

No. They are calculated prayer starts. Obtain Jama‘ah or Iqamah times from the mosque.

Why do two apps disagree?

Compare location, date, timezone, Fajr/Isha method, Asr convention and high-latitude settings. Official timetables may also apply local adjustments.
