Quran audio not playing? Check the surah, reciter and browser
If Quran text appears but recitation does not start, check the selected reciter, connection and browser audio controls. Arabic text, translations and audio are separate resources. Seeing one successfully does not prove that the others have finished loading.

Start with an explicit play action
Select a surah in the Quran reader. Selection requests playback, but some browsers still require a direct tap on the audio player. Check the device volume, muted tab and audio output, including Bluetooth headphones. Initial page loading does not start recitation automatically. A blocked automatic start does not mean the surah has no audio.
Check the network before changing editions
Recitation and translations need access to their external providers. Arabic text is served by our site. A connection problem, content blocker or temporary provider failure can affect audio independently. Try the same verse again after checking connectivity. Changing language changes a meaning translation; it does not select a different Arabic reciter.
Understand repeat and continuous playback
The repeat setting applies to the current verse. Continuous playback advances after its requested repetitions. Stop ends playback. If the reciter changes, start the player again. A verse reference such as 2:255 helps you return to the same place while testing; the reference is more reliable than remembering a scroll position.
Translation and transliteration have different roles
A translation explains meanings in another language. Latin transliteration is a reading aid and cannot fully represent every Arabic sound. Use the Arabic text and a trusted recitation together, and seek a teacher’s help with pronunciation. Available translation editions differ by language; the reader labels the selected edition rather than generating a translation.
